4-Day Break  P iedmont offers the most refined and varied cuisine of the Italian peninsula. A mix of traditional Italian and French cuisine, it is the Italian region with the largest number of cheeses and DOC wines. It is also the region where the Slow Food movement started, and where you can find prestigious schools of the Italian cuisine. This culinary   experience focuses on two cooking classes led by leading Piemontese chefs. We also include the visit and tasting at highly acclaimed artisan chocolatier as well as to an off-the-beaten track organic dairy farm.

COOKING CLASS #1 - BAROLO WINE MUSEUM VISIT

9:30 AM  Departure from the Inn (or Chauffeur pickup)

Imagine learning to cook in the magical setting of a castle! Located near Alba, this former summer residence of a famous playwright is the fabulous setting for your first culinary class in Piemonte. One of the area's most distinguished and experienced chefs will share his skills with passion and enthusiasm while you participate in this phenomenal experience in his restaurant within the castle walls.

4:00 PM   If that is not enough to whet your appetite,  you will then share in a special wine tasting at Barolo’s WiMu, Italy's most innovative and important wine museum inside a thousand-year-old castle.

03

COOKING CLASS #2  - CHOCOLATE TASTING - AFTERNOON TURIN GUIDED VISIT

8:30 AM  Departure from the Inn (or Chauffeur pickup)

Are you ready to relish another unforgettable experience? Meet the wonderful Cordon Bleu mother/daughter team who are heirs to an established Italian biscotti company. These talented women will teach sophisticated culinary techniques in the relaxed ambiance of conversation between pots, ladles and whisks. In this exceptional encounter you will discover the perfect balance between innovation and tradition.

2:30 PM  Who doesn't savor the taste of chocolate?  After cooking you will be whisked away to one of the best Master Chocolatiers in Italy, where you will be treated to your personal chocolate tasting by this "chocolate and pastry chef icon," who is frequently featured in national TV cooking shows.

3:15 PM  Turin guided visit. You will enjoy the elegance which Turin has developed through the years - from the age of Renaissance to Art-nouveau - but namely through the Baroque Architecture of the late Savoy  Kings. You will appreciate its beauty admiring glamorous squares - such as Piazza San Carlo - swanky cafés and fashionable shops under beautiful arcades.

I also suggest a tour of Eataly, a one-of-a-kid market dedicated to organic food supplied by small producers. This store is where it all started!

04

DAIRY FARM CHEESE TASTING - ALBA VISIT - MICHELIN DINNER

Departure from the Inn (or Chauffeur pickup)

11:00 AM  You can't get any more organic than this dairy farm in the Piemonte woods!  The dedicated couple who operate the farm raise their own goats to produce typical Piedmontese  raw milk cheeses. These fresh cheeses will complement an exclusive wine tasting prepared just for you in this charming farm.

2:00 PM   Transfer to Alba, Capital of the Langhe and of the White Truffle. The central square is a splendid showcase of Baroque architecture. Take a stroll among the typical streets filled with gourmet stores and stylish boutiques. We suggest a cappuccino at 'Golosi di Salute' in Piazza Rossetti - the owner, Luca Montersino is a nationally renowed Pastry Chef.

8:00 PM   Your evening dining experience will culminate at "Villa Contessa Rosa" Chef Ugo Alciati Michelin Restaurant, one of the top restaurants in Italy. Originally the summer retreat of King Vittorio Emanuele III, he purchased the 19th-century villa and dedicated it to his beautiful young mistress, Rosa, who later became a countess.
