In this experience, you will discover some of the very best local small artisans of taste dedicated to the highest quality for their production. Do you know the difference between Aceto Balsamico and Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena?  During this experience, you will learn the difference between the two types of vinegars and which is the ‘genuine’ article, because it most certainly is not what you find on your local supermarket shelf.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 T ogether with an expert Balsamic Vinegar taster, you will visit a local ‘Acetaia’ or producer of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. You will learn about why this product is unique to the Modena province of Italy and learn about the extremely lengthy  and complex production process and why the genuine article is so costly.

 

 You will visit the Vinegar attic and understand why the genuine article must be matured for a minimum of 12 years. Your visit will be followed by a tasting of the various maturations and understand their various and fundamental differences. Finally, you will be able to compare the genuine products to the ‘Aceto Balsamico’ that is traditionally found on supermarket shelves. This experience provides a basic overview of how Balsamic Vinegar is made.
